David and his wife have over 30 years' experience caring for and working with exotic animals. Over 20 years ago, as a Wildlife Educator, David designed his own animal care database to track records for use at their animal care facility. In 2005 he received a request to share that database and modify it for use at a small municipal zoo, allowing them to begin keeping daily digital records that were easily searchable. Over the years, he was approached by colleagues and asked to share the database he had designed. However, David lacked the advanced programming skills to create a solution that would work for many different animal care facilities, and provide them support.
Michael has over 20 years of experience in software development, project management, and system architecture. He has worked as a consultant for several Fortune 500 companies whose fields include financial services, healthcare, transportation, logistics, and legal services. With his wife in the animal care field, his love of animals, and technical expertise, he and Dave began to collaborate on a solution for those that care for animals every day.
